Situation:
Customer: “JESUS CHRIST, I turned on my PC and it said “Inaccessible Boot Device”, Lord Have mercy what am I going to do.”
Nester-san says:
Gentle Reader bear in mind this 10 Years of Company data, in mutiple report formats, Govt audit level quantity and quality NOT ARCHIVED
After getting system back up, SMART Diag says EVERYTHING THAT IS POSSIBLE TO BE WRONG is wrong with the disk, and it is generated errors by the minute.
Nester-san says:
I have a Disk that crashed to point of clicking and clanging, I “Low Level Formated” it for laughs nine years ago (which took a week LITERALLY) , and it then passed a 45 Day SMART DIAG check without failure. It has been in usage since then. So for this Disk to be behaving like this, it is so FUX0R3d
I translated “YOU R GONNA GET PWNED BY HD CRASH” into english.
Customer: “Is it still under warranty ? ”
Me: “Dell says no, but you can back up your Data and I can install another HD for you.”
Customer: “So, I would have to pay for a HD?”
Me: “Yes, they are cheap, under $5500″
Customer: “I will wait and see what happens.”
WHILE WE HAD CONVERSATION SMART DIAG SOFTWARE WAS POPPING UP LIKE EVERY 10 SECONDS TO REPORT HD FAILURE RATES INCREASING.
A WHA DO THEM GOD ?
